Dr. Tom Pittaway  completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. He received his dental degree in 1988  from Washington University School of Dental Medicine, in St. Louis, Missouri. He currently has over 20 years experience and training in general, restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Pittaway is a Mentor for the world renowned Kois Center in Seattle. This is an advanced training facility where doctors from all over the country come to learn from Dr. John Kois, who is known for his research and techniques, and risk assessment protocols. Dr. Tom helps other doctors with the advanced programs principles and practice.

After practicing in the Canadian Arctic for three years where he was the only dentist for 1000 miles, Dr. Pittaway moved to sunny Honolulu, Hawaii to practice with his brother, John,  for three years. Finally, in 1993, he settled in Kalispell and has been helping people in the Flathead ever since. In 2007, Dr. Tom was the President of the First District Dental Society in 2007. He is also a member of the Montana Dental Association and the American Dental Association.

In addition to his extensive training, Dr. Pittaway is an avid enthusiast for continuing his education. With that in mind, Dr. Pittaway participates in over 100 hours of additional hours of training each year on all aspects of the dental field, including implants, cosmetic dentistry, and advanced prosthodontic techniques. He is a mentor for the renowned Kois Center For  Advanced Dental Learning in Seattle.  It is this training and experience, combined with his dedication to education, that enables Dr. Pittaway to provide you, his patient, with oral care that is unsurpassed.

Dr Tom's passions include water and snow skiing, photography, travel, outdoor recreation and dentistry. He comes from a family of five children and a strong dental background. His mother was a hygienist , his  father was an Orthodontist and  brother John,  who is also a dentist. Dr. Tom now has a beautiful wife Holly,  and 6 beautiful children,  along with three dogs and two cats.

Dr. John Pittaway is now part of our great dental team providing awesome dental care to the Flathead area. After twenty + years in Honolulu, he has come to Montana to join back up with Dr. Tom. He is a great guy and an excellent dentist. We are looking forward to expanding our practice, and new patients are welcome!
