The term surgical, is frightening to some, but in dentistry, the term surgery may refer to tiny procedures that are quick and easy. Usually in dentistry it refers to the removal of teeth. It also refers to things like minor gum trimming, lesion removal, biopsies, jaw reshaping procedures, periodontal surgery, and anything ending in -ectomy! Fortunately most dental surgeries are minor as is the discomfort associated with them. We are also fortunate to have specialists in the valley with tremendous skill and compassion to assist us in our treatment.
